Pete, My engines and installs don't have tiny sound! Most people need to turn them down beacuse they are too loud! I have found over the years that there are three factors that really effect sound, Equipment, Decoder, And Install. Most use cheap sound decoders and so they get cheap sound.
Others use a good decoder but use either a cheap speaker or the wrong speaker and they for get the enclosure. I so need to do a video and show the differance in how the install can effects sound volume and quaility! Lots offered are part of a live auction being conducted by Ready Auction House, Anaheim, Ca. Items are offered in numerical order and are auctioned at a pace of about 75 lots per hour.
Note eBay's Time Remaining time stamp IS NOT an accurate reflection of the hour at which the lots will be offered. Absentee bids left on eBay Live Auction ARE NOT the same as bids left with the auction house. They are executed from a computer terminal in the room against other Internet bidders.
Other competitive bids include bidders on the telephone, in the room, and absentee bids left with the auctioneer. EBay does not provide the ability for auction houses to incorporate absentee bids from eBay Live Auctions with those left directly with the auction staff. Thus tie bids may occur between eBay absentee bids and other bidders. Tie bids are broken by the order in which the auctioneer accepts the bids NOT when the bids were entered with eBay. This is due to the fact that eBay does not release the actual top bid amount but rather each consecutive increment as the live bidding progresses. AUCTION DETAILS VIRTUAL ONLY AUCTION.

Country: USA Posts: 366 Posted - 2004 December 17: 11:19:13 AM I had one when it first came out, can't say I would really recommend it.
I don't think there would be a way to use it with DCC, except you maybe could hook it up to a jump throttle connection if you are using Digitrax?? Sonic core scope v5 keygens. The quality of the sounds were actually pretty good. This system sends a radio signal thru the track, you have a car with a receiver (and 9V battery) and an antenna wire (and a speaker of course) running behind your loco.
The car picks up the signal and changes it to sound(s). It worked OK but eventually I found it kinda frustrating because the signal would sometimes go in and out, and would sometimes produce loud static thru the speaker!! I didn't try it with the under-the-table speaker but I would assume that would work better.
(Actually as I recall, the instructions weren't really clear on how to hook up the under the table speaker if you wanted to go that route, suppose a little trial and error would get it done though.)
